Twitter owner Elon Musk did not show up in Romania this weekend for a mega Halloween bash at Dracula’s Castle’ interior ministry sources have said.
After frenetic speculation over the weekend that the co-founder of Tesla and founder of SpaceX was in the country for a spectacular party at the 14th century Bran Castle, two unnamed interior ministry officials told daily Libertatea that neither Musk nor actress Angelina Jolie had entered the country.
Universul.net spoke to documentary makers John Florescu, a guest at the over-the-top party who had been waiting for Musk to show up, but left at 11 pm when there was no sign of him.
The Sunday night party was hosted by PayPal co-founder Peter Thiel, who’s rich and famous, but not in Musk’s league.
Universul.net has learned from a local businessman that Thiel and his husband Matt Danzeisen and other members of the group stayed at the Qosmo hotel in Brasov and ate lunch at Prato, an Italian restaurant in Brasov’s old town.
Swedish actress Julia Sandstrom and Australian model Elle MacPherson also attended the party, Florescu told Universul.net.
Media Flux on Saturday reported that Musk was organizing the party and published pictures of guests in Bucharest and preparing to ride a helicopter to Brasov, about 200 kilometers north of Bucharest.
Musk on Tuesday posted a picture of him and his mother on Twitter celebrating Halloween– not in Romania.
